Особливості копінг-поведінки залежно від часової орієнтації особистості

Abstract

Теоретично розроблено та емпірично веріфіковано модель впливу часової орієнтації особистості на копінг-поведінку через опосередкування когнітивним оцінюванням складної життєвої ситуації. Часова орієнтація розглянута як властивість особистості, котра діє на емоційно-оцінкові характеристики образу часової зони та стимулює поведінкові прояви. Емоційно- оцінювальні аспекти часової орієнтації відображають сприйняття часових зон і визначають поводження особи, а її поведінкові аспекти - ставлення та долучення до активностей, які актуалізують у свідомості образ певної часової зони. Вивчено структурні зв’язки аспектів часової орієнтації. Передусім встановлено, що орієнтація на минуле є найбільш цілісним явищем, тоді як майбутнє і теперішнє пов ’язані оцінкою динамічності та емоційно-інтелектуального задіяння до цих часових зон; водночас не встановлені зв’язки між аспектами орієнтації на теперішнє, оцінка якого зумовлюється не гедонізмом, а досягненням цілей майбутнього. Доведено, що когнітивне оцінювання спричинене часовою орієнтацією особистості і визначає її копінг- поведінку, причому орієнтація на минуле детермінує переважно емоційні, а орієнтація на теперішнє і на майбутнє - інструментальні характеристики оцінкових зусиль у складних життєвих ситуаціях. Theoretically developed and empirically verified model of the impact of time orientation on coping behavior through the mediation of appraisal of difficult life situation. Time orientation is considered as individual characteristic, which alters emotional attitude to time frames and determines behavior. Emotional-evaluative aspects of time orientation reflect the perception of time frames. Behavioral aspects are the attitude to and involvement in activities that actualize in the mind the image of a particular time zone. Structure of aspects of time orientation is analyzed. Past time orientation is the most holistic phenomenon. Attitudes to future and present are interconnected by evaluation of dynamics and emotional and intellectual involvement in these time frames. Aspects of present time orientation do not correlate. Its evaluation is determined by the process of achievement of future goals. Appraisal of difficult life situation is analyzed as determined by time orientation and influencing the choice of coping strategies. Past time orientation determines mainly emotional (significance of the situation, the high cost of resources, concerns, experiencing strong emotions), present and the future - instrumental characteristics (its accountability, awareness of the need for rapid response, difficulty in decision-making and predicting situation outcomes) of appraisal of difficult life situations. Factors of appraisal such as situation accountability, understanding the impact on future, complexity of decision-making predict the choice of problem-oriented strategies. Predictors of choice of emotion-oriented strategies are the complexity of decision-making, the difficulty of forecasting and incomprehensiveness of situation. Determinants of the choice of avoidance strategies are controllability of situation and complexity of decision-making.
