Дисертаційна робота охоплює теоретико-методичні та практичні засади асиметричності процесів інформатизації світогосподарського розвитку та участі в них України. Визначено економічні передумови виникнення міжнародного цифрового розриву в умовах формування глобального інформаційного суспільства. Досліджено роль сучасних ІКТ як інструментів соціально-економічного розвитку. Виявлено сучасні тенденції розвитку світового ринку ІКТ та здійснено аналіз і прогноз динаміки міжнародного цифрового розриву. Досліджено регіональні особливості готовності країн до використання сучасних ІКТ у цілях розвитку та зростання. Запропоновано механізм удосконалення методики оцінки асиметричності процесів інформатизації світогосподарського розвитку, який застосовано на прикладі країн ЄС та обґрунтовано необхідність його впровадження вітчизняною системою статистики. Розроблено структурну модель подолання цифрового розриву між Україною та розвиненими країнами, запропоновано напрями інституційного забезпечення її реалізації. The dissertation covers theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of the processes of global economy informatization asymmetry and the participation of Ukraine in them. The economic preconditions of the origin of international digital divide under the conditions of global information society formation are exposed. The role of the modern information and communication technologies as instruments of social-economic development is revealed. The contemporary trends in the development of international ICT market are discovered, as well as the dynamics of international digital divide is analyzed and forecasted. Regional specific features of national readiness to information and communication technologies usage with the purpose of growth and development are discovered. The mechanism for improving the evaluation techniques of the asymmetry of the processes of global economic development informatization is suggested and used in terms of EU member-states. The relevancy of its implementation by the national statistical system is substantiated. Structural model of bridging the digital divide between the Ukraine and the developed countries is elaborated, as well as the ways of institutional provisioning of its implementation are suggested.
